Standard locations are not convenient enough for me:

• pen-holders inside zip compartment of backpack
• zip pocket housing my wallet/passport .. unsafe

— trade-off between access vs risk@loss .. The most convenient locations are often insecure. So I often resort to cheap pens

Towards the last day before a flight, there’s a real need to keep organized esp. with regard to info. My top tips

1. prefer USB, not online blogg .. too many clicks, too “scattered”, and risk of network/hosting outage is “black swan”
2. .. if using online blogg, then create pdf repeatedly.
3. reduce git-blogging on Home computers as there’s a risk of a missed git-push
4. minimize reflective blogging on the last day, if possible. In reality I tend to have lots of worthwhile topics to write, so this tip may be impractical.
5. .. try printing out some reflective blog posts to read en-route

• Sleep ASAP. Don’t waste time with water boiling, wifi set-up, showering…
• Don’t leave luggage at front desk? Not worth it
• Avoid Phone-charging at front desk — easily forgotten and may not work at all.
• Avoid Luggage rearrangement/optimizing — can be important but can do in air-train
