Coming to office I feel relieved. Office is a /harbor/shelter/ for me when feeling disoriented like “None of the planned actions are appealing.”

  • 🙂 I can workout or stretch here too.
  • I have much better control over my diet.
  • freedom from distraction

Even on the train to office, I could feel the relief as I regain self-control !

What if I want to come 10pm? Let’s budget $50/M for taxi fare. We waste money in many many ways every month.

[[Wet Season]] movie experience

  • 🙂 starch — I said No to starch, with more cool confidence than ever before. My $10.50 fancy salad has basically no starch.
  • 🙂 wrong-time temptation — I was bigger than the temptation this time. Not hungry so I didn’t yield to this temptation as happened hundreds of times. I achieve this only about 10% of the time.  Therefore, I believe I’m possibly growing stronger.
  • 🙂 salad dressing — I didn’t need any
  • 🙂 yoga block — I brought it to spend at least a few minutes in fish pose. I did as planned
  • 🙂 book exchange — I did spend more time than planned and picked up about 6 books. I am free from the must-read obligation that’s common in bought or borrowed books.

  • when I first meet a character, I automatically look at BMI and body shape. The are no slim characters. Even the strong build of Christopher Lee is associated in my mind with poor health.
  • Even with all the good things in Singapore for a retiree such as
    • air, water, mobility features, housing
    • nanny state
    • low-cost domestic helper
    • comfortable cash-flow
    • age-friendly job market
    • … Still a family can become an unhappy family

practically – how to make use of Sunday evening

Sunday evening is typically 3 – 5 hours from 7pm to 12pm.

If you manage it meticulously (like an exam), the dinner+wash-up can take less than 30 minutes.

It’s hard to make productive use of 1 hour. To improve, it might be good to

  • – sleep late
  • – speed up shower
  • – eat less — healthy
  • – avoid per inv
  • ? avoid study with boy
  • ? avoid exercise except 1m1d
  • – avoid family chat

2015 weekend – all the small bits of time add up

eg: swimming 10 rounds should be a 30 minute thing, but took more than 2 hours!
eg: played piano only 5 to 10 minutes but the whole session lasted at least 30 min
eg: help wife look for her teaching aids. Took at least an hour.
eg: called grandma for 1.5 hours

brought boy to pingpong;visited library,then blogging;2H: analyzed my insurance needs
