I’m sure you have reasons to advise us against coming back on weekends.
I have some special reasons.

My wife goes to work on Sat and Sun at 6am. Whenever possible, I would
escort her to the workplace in AMK Industrial Park 2. After I see her
off at the Industrial Park, I always take a 5-min trip to office and
work for a few hours.

After you told me to avoid coming back, this routine became impractical.
It’s impractical to get up early, escort her to AMK, and go back home
immediately to continue sleep. In fact, over the past few weekends, she
has been leaving home at 6pm on her own.

Second reason. For various reasons often beyond our control, projects
get delayed. It’s stressful to deal with user complaints and questions
from management. For users and for peace of mind, I would rather work a
bit of unpaid OT to finish things early. Sometimes it’s not practical to
stay late. Sometimes it’s more convenient to come back over weekend.

I feel company can be more flexible. I could be wrong — we are not a
financial, defence-related operation or processing confidential personal
data. If HR and finance staff and MBT developers can come back on
weekends, it’s probably safe.

I understand company may have special concerns. As staff, we do not have
a right to know all the reasons behind management decisions. However, if
you can disclose (email is OK) some of the concerns, it would be
appreciated.
