I understand you are worried about my output level. I feel my productivity is above minimum standard, if not above average. I understand you feel otherwise. Maybe we can put aside how we _feel_ and look for some objective yardstick to measure a java developer's output. Such a yardstick could reduce stress, save time, improve mutual understanding, and even build trust.
I hope both of us invest a bit of time to research or ask around.
By the way, I admit being slow with some tasks as I'm a pains-taking worker. My first boss (Dr. Sanford Chu of Chartered Semiconductor) liked my pains-taking habits, needed to extract the true device characteristics from tons of raw data. A programmer need a sense of priority and urgency, and should know when to slow down and be thorough. I feel I slowed down and skipped some issues in the right places.
