Thinking about internal transfer, I feel lucky that my current job gave me some exposure to sybase design, stored procedure, java batch and web, Java OO design, java debugging, automated testing, JMS, Web service. Without these exposures in GS, I would not be a strong candidate for those internal transfer positions.

On the other hand, My servlet / hibernate / spring / xml experiences are long ago and outside GS, and don’t give me the confidence and expertise I need for those positions.
