Unlike other weight watchers, I’m less challenged by oily or sugary food [1]. My main challenge is the craving for starch, as I found out over the years.
For example, even after I eat lots of fiber and feel full in stomach, I still long for some starch, even if just biscuits.
(I was consistently successful staying away from oily foods like cakes, ice cream, chocolates, butter, fries, mayonnaise…. for months or even years.)
[1] For me, sugary deserts (including chocolates) without starch doesn’t satisfy the craving.
Q: could I endure a day without starch?
A: I was able to go with about 2-4 slices of bread in a successful day.
- –Now some suggestions ([l/L=long term sustainable]
- to satisfy the craving, have some nuts with raw carrot
- to satisfy the craving, have some ice cream once a while, with carrot
- to satisfy the craving, have more lean meat + fish, with very little starch (quick noodles?)
- [L] prefer the ## healthier/lighter starch foods
