As to the informational advantage of large cities, a clear phrase
could be “information about opportunities”

– investment and cost-saving solutions, esp. new ones
– 1st-hand experience about working in NY. Some employers in some
places appreciate NY experience, just like Singapore interviewers
appreciate US experience. Some employers like candidates with
experience in many cities and countries. These candidates are
perceived to be more adaptable and cross-cultural.
– information on training/education opportunities
– information on possible jobs for my wife
– information on alternative occupations
– information on various sources of income. Often they are applicable
only in big cities.
– opportunity to meet people of your own interest. Such interest
groups usually exist only in big cities.
– information on what a particular industry looks for in a candidate.
U can get such information by chatting with people in the workplace.
– experience on the convenience of large cities. I need such
