Background .. given our rising (passive) income, and given the low cost of my PEK flights, I can spend $80 per trip to enhance the experience, possibly also protect my wellness.
— taxi from home to Changi .. to reduce stress and sy2 load, and leave more time to “charge up my energy reserve” before a long exhausting journey
T2/T3: 4 segments by train
T1: 5 segments by train
T4: even further than T1
— taxi from office to Changi .. G3 ROI for taxi instead of MRT:
- time-saving
- sys1 load .. with MRT sys1/sys2 need to stay alert. Don’t miss this or that stop; Don’t leave luggage behind; Hold your rolling luggage.
- seats more available than on MRT
— buy or carry healthy snacks .. buy healthy and tasty foods on the go.. usually expensive. Note small portion often less unhealthy.
— situation: at airport, I decide to check in some heavy items, but I don’t have a suitable bag
Spend a bit to buy a throwaway container just to lighten my carry-on load
— situation: if an overnight fare is only $100 cheaper than a normal flight, then avoid the overnight.
“overnight” include pre-8am flights.
How about 2am Sunday|Monday flights? I can get enough sleep before heading to Changi 🙂
